Skaterkidd92 2 Posted August 9, 2012 Ok, I don't have a bad computer, but a decent laptop. I run the original game, ArmA 2:OA on very high settings most of the time. 40-50 FPS. even in multiplayer. On Day Z, I get 5-20 FPS. for no reason at all. Please fix this. I don't think it's an issue with the game, more like an issue with the servers, as some are much better than others. I didn't think I should fill out a format for this because it is an issue that happens on almost every server, every time I play. It would be easier for me to list the servers that do give me good frames. Thanks for any help.P.S. don't tell me it's the computers problem, because I can run ArmA 2 on Ultra settings on other multiplayer servers. I have a Quad Core Toshiba laptop with a Radeon HD graphics card. A6 processor.

Delta Smoke 01 765 Posted August 9, 2012 DayZ is much more demanding than Vanilla arma. Look through the forums for tips on higher fps. Failing that i hate to say it but, its your computer :P
rockwood 10 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) i feel you, there are a lot of issues with performance, just look how inefficient the load screens are and that about sums it up, there are a variety of different tweaks you can do to increase performance, i have a similar laptop and am able to get 25-40 usually and about 40 or so indoors, there are a couple of threads that talk about tweaking your performance, just search for them-editI've got an core i7, nvidia gt540m 2gigs of video, and 6 gigs of ram Edited August 9, 2012 by rockwood
stsjamie 34 Posted August 9, 2012 You said it yourself that it's an issue with the servers not your computer, so why are you still going on? Servers need to be regularly restarted for performance.
BlazeN'Chronic 51 Posted August 9, 2012 its arguably amusing how some kids think adding zeds, loot, vehicles, animals would not have an affect on how the game runs... for future, think about what your posting before you actually do.... and hey here's an idea... take 2 minutes to look around the forums... they can be quite helpful ;)

kill4fun 1 Posted August 11, 2012 Its nothing to do with what you would think. What you need to do, and what i did was either upgrade your harddrive for more speed, or download and put @dayz and expansions into RAMdisk. you can find tuts on youtube by oshi7 on how to download it and use it.
