Weapon assist, please...

Hi folks!

I need some advice. Today I have been so lucky to find an

L85A2-AWS in a helicoptercrash on my way to the nw-airfield.

Recently having experienced the loss of gear from changing backpack,

I'm being very careful. I have changed backpack several times without

problems.

To the point;

I now have the L85, and an M16A2. The L85 as active primary.

The guns use the same ammotype, so my question is: Will I

have any problems when following below instructions from wiki?

Please share your experinece with the gear system, and your howto's

so I don't **** up my new favorite rifles ;)

"Switching from Primary to 2nd Primary in Backpack -

Open Backpack and select the Weapon that is in the Backpack

and click to the right and it will replace the primary with

the Weapon and Ammo on person -

Make sure you have space in the backpack first to cover all

ammo from 1st primary in Backpack or you will lose that ammo

(I did) Repeat steps when changing back."

Yeah just hit the *right arrow* and it will auto swap..but make sure you got space for your ammo as it will delete..

Now go slay some zeds!!

you should not have any issues with deleting rounds just be carefull when switching guns, sometimes your bag will eat your weapon if you try to throw it in

Hmmm, I haven't encountered a problem with using 2 weapons with the same ammo, but I would assume that in theory you should put an equal number of magazines in you active inventory and your bag, In which case if it does switch the ammo, there is always a place for it to go.

Another suggestion would be to only carry a few magazines, say 4 in your active inventory, and I highly doubt it would put them into our bag if you were switching to a weapon that uses the same ammo type.

no u should not have any problems...i am switching weps all the time...just be careful don’t move the gear from inventory to backpack (if the backpack is ful

I always move stuff from backpack to main inv. ….a few dayz ago I lost 3x nato ammo for as50, I wonted to organise my inv a bit :(

To be perfectly honest, you don't even need the M16. L85 will take care of all of your needs, and more.
