Microphone not working?

Okay so, i just found out that my microphone is for some reason not working in Dayz. No wonder people have been shooting me after saying hello. It's working in skype and i've turned all the volume settings up. Anyone had similar problems? Suggestions?

ps hmmm tried linking in that long post i was referring to and it seems to have dissapeared :) . I'll try to locate it for you, although there are some lesser microphone threads. it's worth checking in those.

I've found Direct chat, both voice and text, haven't been working for me (proven by having friends nearby to check). Makes it much harder to not kill people when they approach!

Didn't quite mean it that way. On numerous occasions people have approached me talking over their mics and then shooting me when getting no response. And I thought i was talking to them:P

This is most likely my problem, as I noticed that my arma 2 had an update available and for some reason steam hadn't auto installed it. Thanks alot!

Aaaaaand i updated my Arma 2 and I cant see any servers with my version anymore.
