Mod Marketplace for the standalone version of DayZ?

Alright so I am some what new to the DayZ forums...

However I would like to see modding or add-ons be a part of both the Standalone version of DayZ. More importantly the Steam workshop or something similar with a "Mod Marketplace" where the best mods are able to be sold at a very low price. Less than a few dollars or something like that. I know that Team fortress 2 has done this to great success in the past and is still doing it with just hats, weapons, and custom skins. Day Z would be able to foster allot of great community driven talent and make a better game.

Examples being -

- Custom Maps

- New Weapons

- New Drugs

- New Zombie Skins

- New Vehicles

Once again this is just a thought/suggestion. :)

Why cant they just be added in with updates?

It would give the community a chance to make their mark on the game. Plus With over 1 million users I think that both the server admins and the Devs would like some middle ground solution to having mods added to the game. Granted that not all of them mod...

I think Rocket with his snarky remarks about being busy with creating buyable hats, may have hinted that he's not the greatest fan of the pay to play/win model.

Never said I am a fan of pay to win. Nor did i say you get the Item. Like in every zombie Apocalypse you need to go find it. It will not be magically given to you.

So I will spend money for virtual PC game to BUY virtual stuff , in game where apocalypse occurred and money has no value??

Nope - because it was just a suggestion.

If anything I would like to see just steam workshop support. :)
