Battle eye going huge?

Tonight was pretty interesting, it's been the 1st time in weeks I haven't met a hacker all day and tonight i saw 4-6 people get global bans on 1 server from battle eye. Did battle eye do good?

Just been teleported to a random place, logged out straight away. Not sure if people died or not. But yeah this happened like 30 seconds ago so some hacks are still working...

I just got a global ban and I have never touched a hack or script or anything of the sort. Nobody else has access to my computer - so my no little brothers hacking either.

I'm pretty fucking annoyed right now but I know BI and Rocket can't do anything. I sent an email to battle eye but I'm pretty sure their shit is fucked up.

It's almost laughable - I have never touched a hack in my life and I get banned today and yet when I plaly DayZ is so fucking chalk full of hackers you wonder if battle eye does anything at all.

i have banned 2 hackers from my server this evening. so they are still at work, but battleye is working like crazy to fix it :)

how do I know my "type" of global ban? Is that the x380 thing after it?

You will not be banned for using an item a hacker spawned into the server.

I logged into a server today and was floating in the middle of the air, with someone talking about "I killed the hacker!" so...no. Aborted.

Couple or hours ago I was rolling in a nice convoy of a Ural and a motorbike with some friends. We were just about to meet up with our scout who spotted a pickup and repair it. As we got close, everyone on the TS reported broken bones...there was the quiet couple of seconds before everyone realised it...HACKERS! Some of us go out in time, the others that tried to exit and save the vehicles...they didn't make it....

So yes, the hacks/scripts are still around...but battle eye is starting to come back, I reckon we'll see a decrease within the next month or so

Of course there is still a lot going around, you can never stop hacking completely but it's nice to see something being done.

BattleEye is $/&§Q$ played 30min ago with a friend on a server, my friend got shoot and he died.

We searched for a new server to start, but then we both became the message: global ban xxxx

we already sent an email to the support, but we are really angry atm.

Latest battleye/beta update now seems to kick anyone trying to use the tree/grass etc. exploit which I'm glad that's being done.

Nobody who has picked up an item can tell you for sure that item wasn't hacked unless they were on a server by themselves and sat there and watched the game spawn the item into a loot spot.

Anything else you've picked up? You have no way of proving it wasn't hacked in.

Hey, it is easy to say that the as50 with thermal scope you found was hacked in, but how do you tell about any item that is normally a part of DayZ? You can't.

...which is why they don't ban people who use hacked-in items.

Yeah it was posted here on the forums a little while back. There were ways to check/prevent it but the admins had to change the server config manually to do it. I tested with the latest beta patch and battleye and now it kicks you for it, it's not an instant kick but it does happen after about 10 seconds - 1 minute, not enough time to do anything really in game. I talk to the admin(s) of the server I normally play on and he was really hesitant to add the code to block it into the server config due to how strict the rules are for server setup but I like to check each beta update/battleye update to see if they've fixed it yet so yeah, it's fixed now I do believe. Let the flames of zomg u cheat! begin when I only join long enough to see if it's fixed and log back out and return everything back to normal, and stay at my own camp the whole time. I'm honestly GLAD this is fixed, made my nice hidden camp stick out like a sore thumb with the exploit, now it's nice and "hidden" again.

Sadly it's such a simple exploit and I don't think it should have been possible, but looks like that hole is plugged for now at least. Can't wait for stand alone to come along.
