the thing that DOES ruin the game. is that people spawning at Kamenka who run round like headless chickens, out in the open, where I can pick them off because they failed to adhere to basic military tactics.

why the fuck would you camp kamenka and shoot freshly spawned players? thats the least creative way to play the game i could imagine.

Most camp sites I've found have a huge amount of rare sniper rifles.

If they ever fix duping I think long distance sniping will become rare again. I'm watching a stream right now where a team of three people with guns they earlier raided from dupers tents are sniping people half a click away.

AS50 guy: "Enemy with AK 47 running across the field!".

Agreed, it's actually duping that is the issue. If sniper rifles were as rare as they're supposed to be then the problem would be solved. It wouldn't be worth them wasting their ammo shooting noobs.

I'm bored of the easiness of battlefield, and I've played too much Arma2. (bout an hour)

I was in the military for long enough, I certainly couldn't abide simulating it haha. it was amusing for the time I played it though

Why do people cry about simple mechanics of a game? It's always ruin this, ruin that. Where is the appreciate posts? If u think something is so wrong then don't play. It's not gonna go how u want it every time.

Sniping fresh spawns is in no way a challenge, but it teaches the newbies a lesson. Most of the newbies still believe DAYZ is about running around and collecting stuff. No, it's based on a brilliant military simulator and snipers are a significant part of it. If some noobs will ever survive another hour, they should eventually learn how to deal with them. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to learn fast, that you give them a hard time when you are allways moving and do some zigzaging too. But running like a headless chicken across the open, or sitting around and watching flowers, is not a good advice.

Although I don't approve of shooting unarmed players in Kamenka, this is a open world game, he can do what he wants, even if you think it's something that's morally grey.
