Going ball's deep and surviving like a boss!

So since i have started playing DayZ and failing at being sneaky getting shot ect.... I have decided to just throw caution to the wind and go balls out on every zombie and player i come across, Now some of you will slate me and call me a noob ect... But i have found its more effective then trying to stay silent...

The zombies chase me i enter a building and mow them down at the door! This is safer then sneaking and risk being a slow target for a sniper! Also when other players start hearing 400+ rounds being empty'd in the middle of town i think they get rather distressed and try to leave the city in fear!

Take this as an example, A friend and I were heading to balota airfield from the industrial part of the run way, I was still looting the buildings when all of a sudden my friend gets shot! in a frantic race to save my friend and searching for the dick that shot my friend i once again throw caution to the wind and sprint directly at my friend while looking along the tree line's As i approach my friend im shouting where is he? where is he? unknown to me that i was practically stood on his head! as my friend confirms to your o'clock i spin round 90* and open fire with my FN FAL, And wouldn't you know it BAM! ******* Was killed!,

I do this everywhere and its great fun as i have join multiple servers and teased the shite out of snipers around electro by zig-zagging while sprinting around them. I have never been hit by one to-date! while this sniper is shooting me my friend with his sniper up the hill scan's the rough area the shots are coming from until i hear a loud zip past my ear then ***** was killed, Nice one great shot now for the next sniper!

If you find your taking too long in towns/city's either use a SD side arm and run in fast grab what you want/can and get the hell outta there! if you want to have some fun and suffer from a heart attack then go balls out and open fire where ever you decide to go!

Become nuck chorris - Because chuck just inst hard enough! and start going balls out to survive the zombie apocalypse.

I never liked the expressions, "balls deep" or "balls out". Good luck playing like that haha.. One play style does not work for everyone.

I never sneak around anymore, it just paints you as a target. Last time I was trying to be sneaky, I was crawling towards the apartments, and some guy standing straight up comes behind me and blasts me with a shotgun. Since the, I just sprint through town, losing zombies by running through buildings and picking up weapons as I go. As a result, I tend to gear myself up within about 15 minutes (weapons/food/tools). The only thing you really risk is running into someone who also has a gun and getting mowed down, but if you have no gear then it really doesn't matter.

Well your strategy would indeed work for most snipers, myself included. A moving object, especially moving in a randomized pattern like that, is a very difficult target and most people who play the game are not crack shots.

As for the zombies though, I can't see that working all that well. Waste a bunch of ammo killing zombies who, by the time you're done, will have respawned somewhere else nearby.

i do hope you keep your zig zagging pattern randomized it's pretty easy to get the rhytm down of allot of people who do that. the rest is as they say childs play :)

As for the zombies though, I can't see that working all that well. Waste a bunch of ammo killing zombies who, by the time you're done, will have respawned somewhere else nearby.

if you run through backyards and the such through town, it's REALLY easy to lose the majority of the zombies. but you can generally just use a few pistol rounds to take out the stragglers once you get inside a building, or just go out another entrance and they'll lose aggro slowly walking through the building as you walk away.

Someone did this to me in elektro while I was there providing overwatch for a buddie who was just killed and needed to loot the town. I was not there to camp lowbies, but I would engage anyone who attempted to kill my friend. A squad of two heavily armed people were approaching my friend who was unarmed(had a makarov I guess you can count that) in the super market. As they were trying to flank around the back, I waited until the first member stopped to peak in the back doors. AS50 claims his life within a second. Silent death. As soon as the guy goes down, I imagine he tells his buddy "Sniper on the hill" so he starts rushing my position(about 300m and closing) and just constantly zig zagging to avoid any incoming fire. So, I wait. I watch his pattern, trying to distinguish when he'll strafe left and right, and to get an idea of when I need to fire. Within about 5-10 seconds I figure it out and drop the zero on my as50. As he's zig zagging, I lead him a good bit and fire. He runs straight into the bullet and drops dead only 230m out. Coyote backpack, nvg, rangefinders, M4A3 CCO, M4A1 CCO SD, etc etc was the loot to be had from the 2 bodies. Geared my friend up and we bailed out in about 5 minutes and headed towards stary. This happened 2 days ago..

Just goes to show you... zig zagging won't help you against every sniper you come across. The ones who just start firing immediately? Yeah, those probably won't hit you. Someone with patience? Well, they have everything they need. Good luck to you mate. ;)

Yeah i have grouped up with 6 other players and we have searched the map non stop and have found 2 buses, tractor, ural, gaz, uaz, and an atv, We chased a heli last night only to find it was a dirty player spawning in heli's he had 2 that were destroyed and 2 ammo crates with 50 of everything in the game! lmao.

The pattern is very random i wont make the same turn twice, The zombies come in to one entrance of the building and i shoot a few and then head out the otherside of the building its rather funny watching them get confused.

I dont just zig zag, I should of made it clearer that it is more random then anything but the jist is zig zag, i spin sprint zig zag turn sprint walk zig zag sprint ect.... just mash the keyboard lmao. I have been close once when i did repeat a section but i had a lucky escape!

One of our friends logged in by gorska (I think thats how to spell it) and heard the heli flying so i grabbed the ATV over by the NW airfield and started driving like a pro all the way over to olsha where i found smoke pouring out of the tree tops i headed in that direction with my as50 ready just incase it was usable and i would need to shot the rotor, After waiting for my friend to hike his way to me while i scaned the area we headed in to find the weapon crate's and 2 heli's blowen up,

TBH i dont mind hacker's/scripter's that do this without causing harm to anyone else its just the noobs that teleport people ect....

Head up to olsha and start searching the area's near black lake and blunt rocks, That seems to be a good area to hide a heli.
