Well, if you're a bandit you already have your hands full by griefing electro.

If you're friendly however, go to the dangerous places (Stary, NW Airfield, etc..) and hunt down the bandits, protect those survivors.

Or, you could do what I do, find new players and be their personal instructor, teaching them to play the game. That means you must follow them where ever they want to go.

Like others said, set yourself a goal. The mod is not going to tell you what to do. It's just like in real life, you can do whatever you want.

My primary goals:

1) to survive as long as possible

2) to collect usefull stuff that will help me survive

3) to explore the map, see what is going on, have adventures

4) to help out other people
