Virus's

Recommended Posts

Turns out I have several virus's on the computer used for DayZ. One was traced back to steam, and I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem. Is it possible that a script-kiddie/hacker/dick in general could have given me the virus's. Is it steam? I, have no idea.

No, you simply cant transfer files to other people PC's using a videogame. You need access directly via programs.

Download the trail versions of kaspersky and malwarebytes and run it in safe mode.

I have securaty software. Thing is, my grandfarther (He worked in IT dealing with this sort of thing up till a couple of years ago) traced a virus back to steam. Which means It either came in through a patch or through DayZ (Not played anything else through steam in a month). Thank you for the input.

Ehm, scanned with CCleaner?? That must be some upgraded version then, since mine does not by any means function as an antivirus application.
