Sykik 0 Posted May 26, 2012 Hi,Some players, when they agro too many Zeds and are about to die, simply disconnect quickly and then connect to another server; surviving when they shouldn't. When they spawn on the next server, they don't have agro.I have a simple (in theory) suggestion. If you disconnect from a server with Zed agro, it remembers how many zombies are agro'd to you and when you respawn (on any server), you respawn with that many zombies argo'd on you.Just a thought.Sykik

Reaper (DayZ) 2 Posted May 26, 2012 Only problem is when the players kite the zombies away from towns/spawn and log then log onto the next server way away from the town, if a group of survivors are on that server moving through town and happen to be in the path of the herd that just aggro then it could be a potential griefers heaven. Aggro walkers, kite out of town, log, log back in on busy server cause uncontrollable (for 3rd parties) mayhem.
TeaLeaf 5 Posted May 26, 2012 We should just have to wait 30 seconds before we can log out safely.
dharion@drahl.com 5 Posted May 26, 2012 Would like to see some kind of combat state. While in combat and you try to DC maybe you could get a warning stating that you are in combat so you can't DC, maybe add option to force a DC at price of your characters life. Would also solve people instantly DCing when being shot at by another.Combat state could be based on: 1) Zombie aggro:If zombies are chasing you you will have to kill them before you can log out (maybe add a 30 second cooldown on the state after killing last zombie).Should have a radius check to not let a hopper zombie that's +100m away stop you from logging out.2) Being shot: You are in combat for the next 30 seconds, so you have to avoid fire for that duration or shoot back, but you can't just run off until 30 seconds passed.Should only count when you get hit.Maybe add combat state indicator in debug menu.edit: forgot to add.. Alt+F4 would just kill you if in this state.
Ribbotson 1 Posted May 26, 2012 We should just have to wait 30 seconds before we can log out safely.This. It's simple enough and I'm sure Rocket will include it at some point. I mean...it's been suggested enough times and it's pretty much the best idea.
