Hacked Weaponry

Now, I'm not a hacker/scripter, this is a quick question about them themselves. If I hold onto one that I found, is there a chance that I can get banned by Battleye for it? I know this question pops up a lot, and I know the answer is usually You can keep it, just be careful. But I just wanna make sure :D

Killing another player with it might get you banned from the server if they see it. For example, the G36 SD is a favorite among hackers, and if I saw anybody on the server I was on, I'd assume they were hacking.

It's not even about the game itself

It's about the players not having some fucking common sense and/or sportsmanship to just destroy the obvious result of an exploit/hack

I go on one main server, hackers came on earlier today and one just randomly fell over dead in front of my eyes. Died with him, went back after dying 100 times, and just took it. I'll keep it for a bit, probably throw it in the middle of nowhere later.

And also, this is my first time getting a gun that's not in the mod, I was amazed for about 15 seconds, I'll most likely get rid of it, or get sniped. Either one! :P

Item wasn't hacked in by the user, he used item, and was permabanned from WoW, land of catering to the playerbase.

stop being a moral fag because chances of picking up a high tier hacked weapon is so high at the moment due to the current circulation of said weapons. ever wonder why there is so much as50? guess what most of it is not legit and if rocket ban all hacked weapon users he would have to ban a shit load of players.

oh and by the way you probably already fired off and used a hacked in weapon but you just dont know it yet.

keep it and use it because chances of you losing it from thunderdome, mass kill, mass tp to ocean and cannot respawn, shot by a god mode player is inevitable so just have fun with it.

I really do not understand why any developer would say that it is ok for players to use "found" illegal items and open the door for this discussion. Just because you will not be banned, does it make it legit? Maybe the experiment is moving further into a debate on ethics and morality. Is player killing over cooperation bad? Who cares. Is cheating right or wrong? That is the real question. If you think the answer is it depends... So far as I have seen with this discussion here and in other threads, not a good look for this community.

Rocket has said you will never be banned for it.

I myself have an AS50 TWS I netted off a hacker I killed.

It's perfectly legit. I kill someone, I gain their loot. It's completely fair. Especially with all the duping there is.

I also had a Golden AKS yesterday, it looked sweet but was actually fairly bad.

I'd link the thread where rocket says that keeping the weapon gets you flagged, but it's sticked at the top in the "things rocket said" post and I'm feeling lazy.\
