I thought zombies had to walk when indoors.

Recommended Posts

Earlier today a zombie followed me into a barn. I was upstairs when I saw it and waited for it to climb the stairs before dispatching it. As soon as it reached the top it BOLTED a good 20 feet straight at me. Is it possible for them to lunge like that inside or did I have a lag issue?

Wouldn't be the first time I saw something that shouldn't happen in DayZ.

Yes they have a lunge attack that they always do. The difference is you dont notice it as much outdoors. Its about 10 feet then they lunge right at you.

They should run indoors.

Or did i miss the bit in 100s of zombie films were the undeads weakness to carpet was mentioned?

They slow down a bit once you've made them take off their shoes so they dont trek mud all through the house.

If you want to be more like a zombie movie then they need to be slower, only die from headshots, and walk around in large groups.
