dagon (DayZ) 17 Posted August 8, 2012 you cannot take tents that you did not place. and the is /was an issue dealing with tents not being updated properly . so when you drop a tent it saves that data but does not over write when you remove it. there fore duping the tent and the items inside. I could loot them (there was nothing in them) but I couldn't take them, and I figured they "belonged" to someone else. Are the tents you can take with you folded up when you find them or something? Are they in a bag or something?Tents you find look like they are rolled up in a duffel bag.Hey,I started playing Dayz a few weeks ago.I build up my own camp with tents barbed wire etc.A few days ago a servershutdown was announced so i packed my tents and tried to change the server..New server found ,rebuild everything but realised i forgot a tent.The next day i logged into the old server to get the last tent but..everything was gone - tent , wire etc .Mhh kay...a few days later i returned and ...everything has returned 0_oThe packed tents the items etc.Okay a funny bug but today i logged into the new server and all tents are gone.I thought tents can only be removed by the player who placed the tent so...are the constructions just bugged or is it a serverside problem?!- and will the things come back?This is a really common bug. Sometimes a server restart will wipe tents, but they will reappear after the next restart. This happened to me today as a matter of fact. To my knowledge, the only way a tent will permanently disappear is if they player who placed the tent removes it or if a tent is unused for a week, it will disappear. Because i heard things about tents eating items after server restart.So i dont really know what to do now?can anyone answer?ty!Me and my friend have set up two tents and have had nothing disappear from them as of yet. Now I haven't played for two days since my mate is out of town and I don't want to leave him where we are right now so I haven't been able to check if it's still there. SmokeyFTM 55 Posted August 8, 2012 i put all my goodies in a tent (left myself with just a hatchet) last night so WHEN i die i got my compass, map, ghillie suit etc safe in a tent. 10 seconds later i got kicked from game and my tents gone. i didnt even die and i jus had to start again :( Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Zombie31 0 Posted August 8, 2012 Tents are 1000% safe to use. someone steals ur items? well fuck that ur items will respawn after server restart, same with vechiles. server with stupid one hour restart is gold, it's infiniti evrything :D:D:D:D:D:D.but be afraid son, they say they will be fixed in next patch! just like said the patch before that and so on.1 shot left on ur gun? fuck that relogg and all ur ammo is back!
