DayZ: Behind the Minds of Hackers

I just read this article by a friend and co-worker of mine. I really think it sums up the hacking situation within DayZ at the present time.

Some people who use scripts do seem to "protect" others, but I still think that script kiddies are frustrated little kids that suck at the game and lack the knowledge, patience, skills and / or friends to gain everything legitimately.

Hours crawling around heli crashes and deer stands to avoid being seen. Spending hours looking for a bike. Running for an hour with no map back to my body after i kill a guy and then get killed by zombies. Only to get teleported to some random place and killed??? think ill just stay logged off :D

Seems like every other hacker who does it for the hell of it, or to troll and have fun. And they don't care who they screw to have their "fun"

Yeah, the ones that lack the ability to gain by legit means. Turn to illegitimate means to gain what they can't normally get. You spend a few hours a day trying to get something, only to have a bug ruin your game experience. Probably turns legit players into scripters/hackers. Doesn't excuse what they're doing though, they should be dealt with harshly. But that won't stop or slow down the incoming amount of hackers, the game being in alpha and full of bugs itself drives the weak willed into either quitting or cheating.

Well, in the game's current state, where hackers are abundant, wouldn't mind having a friendly hacker here and there. :P
