Blocking buildings and server hopping as a loot exploit.

I think mods checking this forum should see it. Entrenchment is cool, but if my tools cant cut the wire, then it becomes an exploit of sorts, doesnt it?

Maybe we could get a fix for the cat9 interactions? Cheers!

Yeahh..... can confirm seeing stuff like this all the time, on multiple servers. Entrance to barracks, control towers, firehouse and other high grade spawn locations are being blocked with wire fencing kits, presumably so people can server hop and loot these buildings in relative safety. Unfortunate that there are bad apples abusing the obstacles like this.

CAT5 Wire can be taken down with a toolbox.

How? I never get the option to.

It can be taken down yeah, but when the server restarts the wire is back there gain.

The problem is that there is a bug (I think). Sometimes you go through the animation but the wire is not removed. I suspect this has something to do with the wire being installed so that it clips through walls.

I was at NW airfield yesterday and there was wire everywhere. I had a toolbox and I successfully removed some of it, but I was unable to get into the fire station because it was blocked by wire, and even though the animation played when I selected the 'remove wire' option, the wire stayed where it was. The only thing I could see that was different about this wire was that it was placed in such a way that it clipped through the walls of the building.

I have tried to vault over the wire. It never works for me either.

works sometimes... but you need to be on level ground, if its done above steps you cant vault afaik.

Barbed wire really needs to be taken out until the selection to remove can be extended to the whole wire bale and not just the stakes. The stakes are far too often inside walls and thus irremovable. Tank traps work fine as it is though, they're just very uncommon.

Well to be fair there is going to be a new model, maybe it will be easier to vault over.

The trouble is, the design of the model itself prevents you from getting to the central stakes to remove it. If you put it lengthwise down a barracks hallway then good luck ever getting it removed.

true sometimes people put the wire so the stakes are glitched inside a wall. Vaulting only works when the model is glitched into the floor and people are abusing this quite often like PATY clan.
