"player name" uses modified datafile - meaning of this?

What's the meaning of the message I often see while connecting, when another player joins. It says they use a modified datafile. Is this an indication of a hacker, or does it mean something else? I don't think it says it with every player that connects, so I'm a bit suspicious.

Any Ideas?

people with deleted or corrupted files, just ignore the msges as the software is doing its job

anytime you join with the beta of arma 2 running, then you will get the modified data file message.

Yeah, nothing to be worried about. It's simply stating that the client has mods installed (most likely DayZ).
