How to know when your about to get nuked.

Hi guys,

So i died to my first hacker yesterday. Apparantly someone was livestreaming on my home server and that attracted a hacker. He nuked the entire server and killed everyone, but my cool admin immediatly kicked his ass and locked him out.

But i noticed something. Before we all died, i got an error message "cannot open object".

My friends comfirmed that they got this error message too.

So if you get this error message, or one like it, disconnect IMMEDIATLY. Your about to get nuked.

Cannot open basically means that a file, object or image cannot be found. If it says "Cannot find texture" it usually means ARMA didn't find the image for your Squad URL page on your character, cannot open object can mean that a hacker or anyone either spawned a rifle that isn't ingame, weaponcrate or anything like that which something that isn't actually in DayZ, so the mod can't find it and gives the error, as it becomes available to everyone on the server. Doesn't always mean there's a nuke gonna happen, but usually or in most cases does mean hacker on server.

Sounds exactly right now that i think about it. One of my friends even called it out, we didn't believe him xD.

And to the guy above me, yeah i was thinking maybe he was opening a hacked crate or something? Something we couldn't open, so we got the error message?

Idk. But something fishy is going on if you ever get that message. Don't be like me and ignore it xD.

if there is a hacker on the server anyway. i would still quit. (i consider Alt-F4 as the most nooby stuff someone can do. EXCEPT when the server has a hacker)

Alt+ F4'ing is legit if your about to be killed by some pre-pubescent script kidding wanking to other people's misery.

this. it simply means there's a hacker on the server. the smart thing to do is abort, though, regardless of the hacker/s' intent.
