Six Launcher 70% of servers run last version 1.7.3 - why?

Why is that I run Six Launcher and most of the servers haven't updated to the next version. Do these people prefer the old version, or is there another reason?

SRY - it was meant to be 30% not 70% - fingers faster than brainsss....

It may be more stable than 1.7.2.4, that would be my guess.

I also get a lot of "bad version" and disconnects from the servers. There are different beta versions for 1.7.2.4? How is this gonna help, I wonder? It's already bad enough to wait for connection and now it takes me 10-20 tries before I actually find a server I can play.

The only workaround for me is to write down servers I play and check my records every now and then. Judging from todays experience I spent at least an hour trying to connect to servers and played roughly 1:30h, before the server restarted.

Beta versions are generally back compatible, unless they break them like last time.

So if u have installed 95417 u can pay on servers with 95393 + 95417.

Its just some servers haven't bothered to upgrade as the only difference between the 2 patches is a new VON codec option, so no need.

Also most servers with 95417 will prob be set that u need 95417 to join it aswell.

That number sounds much more realistic than your 70%, I think Sucks Launcher is giving you some bad information....

I don't think so. For me it's showing more like 8% 1.7.2.3 servers instead of the 70%.
