h3retic 224 Posted August 5, 2012 (edited) Hello guysI have a rather old but still quite decent pc.intel 2 quad q6600 2.4 ghzradeon hd 5770 1gb gddr5 oc'ed4gb ddr2 ramwin vistaI am currently able to run arma 2 with high optimization (.cfg file modifications etc) on around 30-50 fps in plains, 30 fps in forests, and lowering to 20 fps in big cities. Not long ago, i found out that gamebooster can "boost ur game", performance wise. Previously, however, i heard that some gameboosters may shut down processes such as punkbuster (anti cheating apps). I am wondering if iobit gamebooster 3.4 is compatible with the arma 2 battleye. (http://www.iobit.com...oster.html#none)I think it is, but id love to have a confirmation on this from someone who is actually using it.Also, if u are already a user of any gamebooster, can u please tell how big is the difference with and without it.Thanks to all who answer Edited August 5, 2012 by h3retic
Remus (DayZ) 8 Posted August 5, 2012 Game boosters are counter productive in my opinion. Yes they shut down programs running in the background, but it in itself is another program running in the background taking away from computer resources. Better off to shut down those background programs yourself, and skip the bullshit that is game booster.
