TyRobot 100 Posted August 5, 2012 WORKING FIX!I'm telling you guys. I TRIED EVERYTHING. Flushing in a milion ways, looking not looking, one server another server etc. Trying all the video options etc.I just found this : http://dayzmod.com/f...t-to-dayz-1723/Here i guy gave a zip of the anim files of 1.7.2.3 . I replaced the files of my current version with those and guess what. I dont have the glitch anymore.Just for all you guys that only have the weekends to play and couldnt because of the damn glitch. HERE IS THE FIX FOR YOU :PThat was really cool of you to post that fix yesterday, but I have one question for anyone that has done this method. Will this cause BattlEye to overreact for messing with the files? I'm sorry if that's a dumb question, but I'd rather be safe.A few people confirmed this method on the thread that the quote was copied, but the 1.7.2.5 Pending Update thread has since been locked. I hope this method reaches more people with the graphical issue. Thanks in advance to anyone that can confirm that is method is 100% safe and effective. I haven't had any artifacts since trying it, but I've only been playing for over 3 hours. ^_^

Maroite 48 Posted August 5, 2012 (edited) I believe those are just an old version of the legitimate animation files - so no I don't think BattleEye's 'ban sense' will tingle at you if thats what youre asking. You may have a difficult time getting into games running the 1.7.1.4 version though. I know I am running the 1.7.1.4 and have issues getting into games running 1.7.1.3.Edit: On a side note, I usually keep a Temp folder with previous versions of the mod saved in it. This way if I have issues with a new release, I can revert to an older release and still play - pending that the servers are compatible. This may only be capable through manual install though. I don't use either of the launchers. Edited August 5, 2012 by Maroite
umandez 139 Posted August 5, 2012 I'd be careful, but I'm 90% sure you'll be fine due to the checking old file signatures bring out dated now. Hmm.
Vendayn 7 Posted August 5, 2012 Is all that is needed is the animation files? Not sure if I want to fully go 100% to 1.7.2.3. I would need to downgrade my server, which seems like that would be a pain to do.
TyRobot 100 Posted August 5, 2012 I was under the impression that the only files needed were the "anim" files...I'm not talking about reverting back 1.7.2.3, but rather, using said files with the 1.7.2.4 current version files. My only real concern was BattlEye getting all fussy...
Buick72 27 Posted August 5, 2012 Seems like it should be safe, but I'd wait to get a response from a dev...
Vendayn 7 Posted August 5, 2012 I moved only the anim files and when trying to login to the server is just "loading" and that is it. I put back the default anim files, and it loaded in fine
asaguda 8 Posted August 7, 2012 This fix does nothing for me. If anything the artifacts look worse and more intrusive than before.
ixtilion 39 Posted August 8, 2012 So we just slap those 2 files in steamapps/common/arma II OA/ addons and we are good to go right?
