money544 1 Posted August 5, 2012 Hey, I have been wondering what gun could be good for what I do for my squad, I clear buildings and get called for close quarters combat, and if one of my squad members gets killed im the one who guards their stuff. Any suggestions?
General Dickbutt 41 Posted August 5, 2012 I would go for AK, good for close and medium range combat, and its easy to find ammo for it.
Hinaru 96 Posted August 5, 2012 I except, if you're here for close quarter combat, I think you need a weapon for this. MP5.. ? M4A3 CCO? I don't really understand the point of your topic, but yea.

krtshv 362 Posted August 5, 2012 (edited) Depending on your role.Snipers prefer Anti Material sniper rifles due to long range, accuracy and 1 shot kill capabilities. In Mid to close range, I'd take any LMG (Mk.48, SAW, M240) as they do massive damage coupled with high ROF, accuracy (in prone) and mag size.In buildings, a SAW can do some serious damage. Shag 90 Posted August 5, 2012 well that is reall two roles.for CQB I like the M1014 shotgun, ideal for clearing buildings.however, if you then have to guard bodies, it may be better to do so from a longer range, less danger for you. I would say the AKM, it has great stopping power so it great at close range, but you can also zero it, so great for longer ranges, up to 800m
icomrade 201 Posted August 5, 2012 (edited) You would want something short and powerful. A shotgun would be ideal, or any sub machine gun. An AK might not be the best choice as it sometimes has a tendency to get caught up on doorways when clearing a room.A large round is not really essential in close quarters combat, a small round can just as easily put someone on their ass like a 7.62 in close quarters.P.s. if you have a large calliber gun then you can shoot through walls without ever entering the room, you'll just have to guess where he is. My favorite is hiding behind a tipped over table and waiting for someone to walk in the door way :P Edited August 5, 2012 by icomrade
miket 92 Posted August 5, 2012 For really tight buildings you definitely want a carbine like the M4 or a submachine gun like the MP5. Shorter weapons are easier to navigate through doorways with.
Baka Survivor 20 Posted August 5, 2012 AKS-74U got nerfed a bit, but its still fairly good for close quarters imo. Short barrel, gets stuck to door frames actually less than a pistol, very quick and agile to handle. 4-5 shots to kill a player at full health, can fire full auto or as fast as you can click. Better iron sights than most ARs imo, accurate easily at 200 meters, more effective than MPs in close or at longer ranges. Very common ammo. Fairly quiet too.Of course, there are higher-tier weapons like M4A3s or LMGs, but I think Aksu is still pretty serviceable weapon for indoors-medium range fighting.
