(Happened like a week ago)

So this one of the first few days of owned/played DayZ, After dozens of deaths from zombies and learning the basics, I decided to go loot at Electro. I got my hatchet, raided for several minutes and run into a guy. Instead of hitting him in the head with a hatchet I figured out how to use Direct Communication and we couldn't really understand each other. He spoke French but we understood I'd protect him and we'd go loot. After a building or two of looting we run across this big open field and he leads me into this building where he has a friend with a gun who shot me as soon as I came in the door.

i have a story like yours too, but not with a french guy..

I was looting some military airfield, when this guy ran in with his hatchet. I was like, hey there, im not gonna shoot you with my AKM, you just have a hatchet.. So I called 'Friendly' like 3 times, and this guy just runs up to me and hits me 1 time into shock, and then finishes me off with 2 hits. Very frustrating, it was my third game, and I had a M1014, a makarov pistol and an ALICE pack. I learned to trust nobody, so thats why I shot someone in my fifth game, who (I believe) had no evil intentions. May you read this, Sorry pal!

edit, de m1014 was in the backpack, de makarov and AKM where equiped, i maybe had some cooked meat too, but i dont know if i allready ate it all yet..

Maybe, I was looting and I'm not sure what I got off a dead body and what I got as loot. But there was a dead body on top of some stairs that had the alice pack and such that I snatched. I think it was or the building connected to the pub on the corner.

nahh, wasn't me, I was chopped down in the second hangar (counted from the airfield control building, where I just found the AKM, didn't even have a chance to use it)

would have been fun to meet the guy who killed me. its just that you really cannot trust anybody

I mean yesterday I was looting a store when another guy came in, asking me not to kill him. then he said 'can you shoot this zombie without hitting me?' as he was chased by 1. I shot the zombie, en tried to communicate, but Skype disabled the VOIP. then I remembered this story again, so I just lifted my Winchester, and put 7 rounds in him (<-- cleverly waiting for him to start bandaging himself). Afterwards I didn't even got a murder for it, which should mean he was the one who shot first, ain't it?

I think it means he has had atleast one muder so you killed a murderer which makes you innocent ^_^

I find your remarks very racist, I have had the same experience as you with American, Belgian, Canadian, .... put everyone in the same category is not inteligent.

Moral of the story, become a bandit and shoot people. Or learn to read people better (so yes not teaming up with Frenchy unless you speak French). You could do the mature thing and just back away especially if they do not have a gun, or you could learn like the rest of us to not trust people you do not know. Just be thankful you did not have any good gear, dying is easy in the beginning.

well it aint fair to say that all frenchies are the same (although i do dislike the general non english speaking population). it's basically like this you got rough said 4 types of french gamers.

1. the french speaking troll: you know when you meet them.

2. the french speaking normal dude: you might notice him when he speeks but most of the time you won't even know he's there.

3. the french troll deluxe with build in english: now these guys are scary cause not only can they understand you, they will do everything within their power to make your life miserable.

4. the french normal dude deluxe with build in english: i like these the most cause there's without you knowing it allot of them around us. you never know they're there unless they tell you they are. their english is just amazing you most of the time won't even notice that they are french.(most of the time not always some still have a bit of a accent but most that i meet that speak fluent english (unlike me :() do so without a french accent )
