And when was this posted? Considering Rocket has stated in his Machinima livestream interview that private servers and hives aren't actually all that bad, as they've come up with a number of clever ways to optimize performance as well as clean up hackers, I don't think that it's too recent.

I saw a thread getting deleted today for discussing Lingor Island, so I'd say it's still in effect.

Well then, my apologies for being wrong.

As for the OP - Google is your friend anyway. I support the concept of private servers and private hives, but if the DayZ team doesn't want them to be discussed, then their word is law.
