DayZ Lag ?

Recommended Posts

Okay, I'm not sure if i'm writing in the right forum tab, but anyways.

I got this low fps, about 5 - 10 that makes the game unplayable.

And I don't get why ?

Lowering graphics and/or resolution doesn't work.

Changing this in the config doesn't help it either:

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1

Here's My PC Specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom™ II X4 B50 3.60 GHz OC

GPU: 2 x SLI Gigabyte GTX 560 TI OC

Ram: 6,00 GB 1033 MHz.

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x64 bit

Hard-drive: Western Digital 1000 GB & Western Digital 500 GB. Have the game on the 1000GB Hard drive.

What can cause the problem ?

Set

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=3; <-- Overrides the engine's detected frames ahead

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3; <-- By the way, changing this value does nothing as it is decided by the engine

or AT LEAST 2. The greater value will increase your FPS slightly, while introducing more input lag. A very low value though will make the rendering chunky and very less frequent.

Disable V-Sync and lower your 3D-resolution to less than or equal to your screen resolution. Also disable AA, PP, lower shadows and lightning.

I just found out that changing server worked. Seems odd but it worked. At the first server I had about 5 - 10 fps. At the other I had around 20 - 30 and on the best one I could find i had around 50 - 70 fps. Hope it works for you to ! :). Good Luck.

Some servers are not restarted frequently enough and that actually causes problems. That, and those zombie hunters that spawn like 600+ zombies in order to increase their kill count.

Usually, when you have a problem, test it on a few different servers. Sometimes it is just the server.
