Does anyone know of a server where if you swim you don't lose your gear?

Its not hard to find out. Server hop the coast, go slightly into the ocean where you just start to swim. If you drop items, just get back a bit, and pick it back up, and server hop until you find the right one.

Our server US 104 chicago allows you to swim without loosing gear.

Okay, so say I just went into the water and started swimming. my backpack didn't fall off. Does this mean for certain if I swim to shore it won't fall off?

If you dont drop your backpack and weapon, then you dont lose your items when you swim.

This it was fixed in an ARMA update specifically for Dayz
