Having trouble with Artifacts/Screen tearing? Try this.

Try this:

Look at the screen tearing/artifacts and type the following:

Hold Left Shift and then press "-" (Minus symbol on your numpad)

Then release shift, you should not be pressing/holding any buttons now

Type in "flush"

Your screen should turn black and say FLUSH ACTIVATED 2 times, then "Receiving..."

pretty sure this is common knowledge... it is also not 100% reliable and sometimes makes it worse. The best thing to fix any tearing is to completely restart the game.

best fix is to update to the newest patch, and don't go anywhere near green mountain. ridiculously tall artifacts all over there

Well, common knowledge or not, I was unaware of it until now, so thank you for the post, this is definitely faster than a full restart to the game even if it isn't 100% reliable.

Until the other day this was 100% Successful for me, It had to do it 4-5 times to get it to work last time, But it does work.

I edit my profile cfg and set the scenerycomplexity to 50000. Works like a charm.
