I died while being in the lobby

Hello DayZ community!

A friend of mine just realized that our camp was looted, so I immediately logged in. I already was on the server, but not directly online; I was in the lobby. When I logged back in, I received the message "You are dead" and had to respawn. My friend found my corpse, looted and full of blood, but how is it possible that I died in the lobby? I just don't get it. It isn't the fact that I died that makes me angry, but the way it happened. Can I be seen ingame while being in the lobby?

Possibly loaded into the server before your client actually loaded you into the server and a bandit killed you?

You were shot while logging in then

Your character appears before the black loading screen vanishes and people can kill you in that time

You can get killed while logging in, without being aware of your surroundings.

What exactly do you mean by "full of blood", were you "bloodied" or "unhurt"?

No, I did not "combat DC", I hate it when people do that. Also, my friend was in our camp when I logged in, he realized our cars were gone, so I logged in an was dead. I don't know what happened.
