BabuiN357 0 Posted May 25, 2012 Good day! Please tell me when will be the server on Linux? Is the organization ready to launch a large number of servers, but only on Linux!

Mojo (DayZ) 66 Posted May 25, 2012 Linux support is planned' date=' but not for a good while yet.[/quote']Jaynus! Make jayarma2lib for Linux! And, well, that's the crux of it. DayZ relies on jayarma2lib or jayarma2lib_new for its persistence functionality, and there is no Linux version of these libraries, hence why there's no Linux server support.I imagine the idea is that, with commercialization in mind, relying on Jaynus' extended library causes conflicts with licencing. Linux server support would come when the DevTeam creates their own, specific library for DayZ, which they could migrate to the Linux platform (or build on the Linux platform and migrate to Windows).Or, on the other hand, if it gets ported to ArmA 3 and ArmA 3 has the necessary in-engine support to handle for the DevTeam what Jaynus' libraries do now. demine0 43 Posted May 25, 2012 Jaynus! Make jayarma2lib for Linux!I second this. The second a linux binary is released, the server hosting community is going to blow the fuck up.
