Sneakers O'Toole 57 Posted August 4, 2012 Hi,I logged into a server (uk111, I think) And I was on the south-facing wall of the building next to the barracks at the NWAF.I went round the corner to face the barracks and a gaggle of Zeds spawned out of the barracks, as you would expect.But then 3 secs after they spawned someone unloaded a handgun into the back of my head.Is that some kind of cheat? Sneakers O'Toole 57 Posted August 4, 2012 There was only one other person on the server when I logged in and the same user was logged in when I went back to the lobby.I'm almost certain it was a handgun:* It sounded like a handgun.* There were about 5 or six rounds before the hourglass anim and it would only need 2 rounds from an assault rifle.* It did not sound like a sniper rifle.It ALWAYS happens the ONE time you let your guard down. I guess shit happens. I'm over it now anyway. I just wish I could find some nvg's. I've found like 4 heli-crash sites but no nvg's or l85. One day tho... robjuluk 14 Posted August 4, 2012 sounds like he was further away than u realised when u logged in. he prob saw u and sprinted up to ur rear... people who wait at places like the barracks try not spawn any z'd themselves... plus when he saw u log in next to the barrack he knew was an easy kill.... u have no awareness to the situation ur loggin into... hence dont log at stupid places..... atleast try to be in a bush or a tree.... Jonson (DayZ) 31 Posted August 4, 2012 As far as I know, zombies despawn around you when you log in. A few moments after that, they respawn again (at least this is what I am experiencing).
