You can spend hours to days playing to get gear legit and 1 random teleporting hacker can just teleport kill you, kill you while invuln, or simply be invisible at all times and shoot you that way.This game had potential, too bad there isn't a single server out there that is hack free. I guess that's what you get for making a mod for an insanely outdated game. =)Will give your stand alone a try and/or just wait till someone makes a mod like this on a real game. The fact that people can easily "script" their cheats rather than inject them says enough. This game is way behind the times, doesn't matter if it came out yesterday. Me and my friend were playing yesterday and started driving from the north to the south for almost an hour, only to get teleported to the NWAF by a hacker when we were about to have some fun at Elektro. We were lucky enough to not die, but we have lost the car for sure by now (a White GAZ containing a M249, M16A2 M203, NVGs and useful spare parts).Things like this makes me wonder if it's worth to ever try to repair something like a helicopter or invest much time into vehicles to have fun with them while hunting players. dxze 20 Posted August 4, 2012 The engine isn't "garbage" and arma is "a real game". This engine perhaps doesn't suit the DayZ mod perfectly for some people (I love it personally). It would be cool however if DayZ was implemented on the Arma 3 engine with all its tweaks that make movement etc smoother. So okay fine thanks for guaranteeing me there is a possible thread of hackers on the servers I play on even though this goes for every server. Most people who play Arma aren't playing competitively, they are playing for sim-related reasons. Also Arma is based off of a military training sim. A lot of the times there needs to be on-the-fly modification of a scenario.The engine is doing exactly what it was designed for.
