Dayz Server not opening Socket (port)

I'm a server admin by trade and I'm having some trouble getting mine up and running. I got everything configured and then closed the server to set up that razor script. Now my server doesn't show up in the list and when I try and check the ports it shows as closed. Also a netstat shows that no socket is open for dayz even thought the DS is running and configured. Any help would be appreciated.

Running Server 2012 on a dedicated server.

Oh and also I had been keeping an eye on the server and some people were able to connect to the server throughout the day somehow....

I already re-installed the server once....

I filed a support ticket with Dayz this morning...so we will see how that goes. Let me know if you find anything else out.

Are you on the same OS?

I still don't understand how people are able to join the server though....this is very odd.

Well I got it working. Just did a full rebuild. Had to change the connecting lookup server as you suggested for sure as it wasn't correct from the default config.

Now I am having stability issues though....server is crashing every 20 minutes or so.
