In need of help

I haven't played this game a whole lot, but I really enjoy. Even though I've studied all the detailed maps I could've found, I still have some questions.

1. How many cities are there and what are the best ones to go to (I know the main ones are Cherno and Elecktro)

2. Which places are the best to find vehicles and small arms (I travel light with a pistol, a map, a gps, a hunting knife, and some binoculars with some food)

3. Where are the best places to find food

These are probably some nooby questions but I really need the help.

1.A 3 major cities,those you included then Bronzino or wahtever it is called at north-east side of map near cost and several cities with tons of villages inland.

2.Best vehicles are found in military zones such as Humve or if oyu have luck helicopter,all military grade loot including Glock,M9 and PW are there too ( sidearms ).

3.Best places to find food are markets.

If you spawn in fresh Balota is always good for guns otherwise nw airfield or any other military area, also rare chopper crashes contain the best loot found randomly in open fields, I don't know how many towns there are in total (count them on map) Cherno, Electro and Starry are the most popular and as a result the most dangerous, you are probably unlikely to find vehciles at their spawns, best to go looking on the edge of the map, black forest is also popular for stashing them, usually it's just dumb luck you stumble upon them though. Grocery stores are best for food until you get the tools to gut/cook the wildlife, see dayzdb map green shopping cart icons.
