Is a pdw a big deal

i probably sound like a noob but i found a body and it had a pdw with no ammo so i picked it up but then i didnt know what ammo it took so i just picked up a makarov with 5 clips was this a bad decision?

Since the handgun nerf, I've fallen back on the (previously avoided) PDW, just to try it out.

Shitty iron sights aside, being able to full-auto infected at close quarters is its biggest selling point for me. Actual PDW clips are fairly rare, but as its essentially a slutty sidearm, you can stick almost anything in it ;)

At the range I use my sidearm for, I'm not all that fussed about the sighting (I used to care *sniff* when my revolver skills were boss *sniff*).

The G17 was another AVOID gun in the pre-nerfing DayZ; I may give it a look now as the clip size is massive and it's incredibly quiet.

im pretty sure there isnt a silenced pdw in the game the silenced m9 is rarest i believe. however you CAN put mp5sd or m9sd mags into the gun and it acts as a silenced gun to zombies but players still hear the normal loud shot..personally if i dont have a m9sd i would pick a pdw up, it has easy to use iron sights and great for headshotting zombies on semi auto.

Silenced PDW only exists in the actual game, DayZ doesn't spawn it im fairly sure.

what's with all the hate on the ironsights? sidearms are mostly for headshotting zombies and they're decent for doing that.

The game doesn't like to line the up right, mostly walking and zooming with right click solves the problem. Because the the PDW is basically a MAC10 (Or lets just say, based off one) the iron sights are wonky, similar to an UZI's ironsights and those suck too.
