I know there are few here, South Africa only has maybe 5 servers. But it seems to be a good community with no hacker experiences yet.

Not racist here, but nobody I've seen on Dayz. (Through chat) is black. This used to be a white run country till 1994. A fair bunch of white people still here.

some of the places in Dayz remind me of various south african townships!!! xD

I know of 1 or 2 people playing DayZ. I showed the game to my friends (all playing BF3 at the mo) they love DayZ... just haven't heard of DayZ yet. I know... where have they been? playing BF3 every night...

I'm from South Africa Cape Town.

Ya we only got about 5 servers, when Dayz got big the servers got a hacker visit every night but it seems they've gotten bored since i haven't seen a hacker in a good 2 weeks now. Only problem is since the only big competitive games in SA are CoD4 and BF3, everyone in Dayz stays down South for some PvP action, no camps are made and no one really hordes vehicles. You would be lucky to see anyone above Stary (even with 30-40 people on). There is another forum member called Karlash which is also South African and looking for a group (unlike me, I'm a solo player)

Either way my home server is ZA4, i go onto ZA3 only when there's more people on and when i have a rangefinder since there it shows range. The webafrica servers (ZA 1 and 2 i think) don't restart often enough so you get bad FPS there, generally avoid them.

Im from Durban, me and a friend play fairly often, usually between ZA 2 / 3 , and other low ping EU servers. There is quite a big Dayz Following over at the Web Africa forums. You can find alot of people there !

Community seems a bit smaller now than what it was a month ago. People got tired of savaging for 3-4 hours just to die by teleportation from hackers.
