How do I run arma 2 without uninstalling Dayz?

I often go into single player to practice driving/flying/long range shooting. Now that you can't play single player with dayz files in, how do I run single player without completely uninstaling dayz? Steam version here.

i have the steam version and just launch combined operations from launching operation arrowhead in my steam library.

when i want to play dayz i launch through sixlauncher or dayzcommander.

single player arma II is nice for the simulator to try out all the guns and get good at flying helicopters

I think if you have the latest beta patches you can't play arma2.exe online, only arma2co.exe which has different servers. (Found about this reading on BI forums).

When I try to launch arma2.exe (the green icon), I connect to a server and it goes fine until the last loading screen, then it crashes and gives an error related to battleye.

I did some research and saw people having the same error, the answers said they should reinstall and update only until the beta patch 94xxx.

edit: oops sorry didn't saw the initial post was about single player, I had this problem also and it was because I was launching the beta patch armaco shortcut, launching the normal armaco shortcut worked fine, otherwise the missions and other stuff wont work or will have missing vehicles etc.

I was trying to figure this out too, in order to play ACE 2. Unfortunately, I only enabled ACE 2, and not its dependencies (even though they're installed). Now ARMA 2 crashes on startup. How do I enable the other mods it needs as well, without being able to start the game?

plz help ..i have the same problem but its oa i got the game installed..now heres Wat i did :

1st. i did wat this guy on youtube said i guess it was manuel way i copyd the addon folder in arma 2 free

to the arma 2 oa folder .

2nd . now theres a addon folder right in oa ..ok then i went to sum dayz updater site idk ..there i started to give up cause the updater thing was stuck at 19% so i left it alone or erased it k

3rd. i went to the site dayzmod.com to try the easy way ...with the updater and all ...dayz if i run it from the six launcher like the site says works but heres my main issues

4th. soo as i hear u cannot play single player once u got the dayz mod combined to oa right ? k .well

Well, some time ago I downloaded the single player mod from someone before Rocket "ceased" it from being avaiable from download. I would just run the DayZ SP in the Scenarios part.

Now, I just run OA and play it from there.
