NW Airfield... Why only there?

there are thing better than barracks that aren't at an airfield. They're called crashed helicopters, if you find one of those you won't need to go to the barracks for a while. I generally stay away from the barracks, go up north and look for tent cities.

There are other options than barracks, most of you just haven't realized it yet.

True. I've been to the NWAF all of three times, one ended in death, the other two ended in absolute garbage gear, no upgrades (plus three other times when I got hacker-warped three times in a row... died once, ran away the other two :lol: ). I've also only ever seen one crashed helicopter surrounded by zombies and players alike. I didn't bother getting close, as I was happy with what I had.

I've found all of my gear in deer stands or scavving dead players. I don't NEED an L85A2 AWS or an AS50 or M117. In fact, I really wouldn't want them. I'm happy with my M4 CCO SD, M9 SD, Alice Pack, NVGs and food/water. I'd just like to see less need for camping the "loot spots"

Its not a Question of Handling it at All, I have been through NW Airfield Many times, Its a Suggestion. A Suggestion that Could Benefit other players. If That is your Opinion Then Let it be. But last time i Checked this is in Alpha With MUCH to change.

Yeah it's kind of funny because people are told "NEVER GO TO NW AIRBASE UNLESS YOU HAVE TO OR YOU WILL DIE" and because of that it has gone from being a deathtrap to a barely visited area because so many people are now scared to death of it, so instead they go into the slighly easier to navigate cities like stary and cherno and just hope that high drops appear.

Moral of the story, taking proper risks is a good thing

ANYWAY relating to the post, i suggest more tent camps like the one to the west of Cherno underneath the airstrip (the one with a dear stand in each corner) should be spread across the map just to take up some space and make it nicer for people to go from place to place by passing into them along the way. just make sure they are spread out nice and far so theres not much chance of going from one to the other.

Got attacked by a SAW tonight and took the player down.This was at the power plant so no need for me to go find weapons in NWAF and especially since the saw is what I have been wanting.:) Besides,everytime I enter the NWAF area I get killed without knowing from what direction the player shot from.Last time I was killed I was moving thru this super dense tree area where I could not see anything and BAM.

Yes indeed it is, But When You have a mass majority of those running towards That 2000m area, compared to 225x225km of Chernarus its relatively small in the grand scale of things.

Chernarus is 225km², that means 15x15km, so a 2km long zone is pretty huge
