how do priv hives work?

Bit confused, been playing on a private hive server and theres no decent guns spawning, raided the NWAF and NEAF and BALOTA and Elektro so far and there was nothing in either other than an ak74 and an mp5 and a lee enfield.

Also NO tents at all anywhere on the map (i ran round the edges misty hill etc), and no crashed choppers.

Yet all the clan members have M107's etc.

Are they likely to be spawned in, or can you edit the hive to change what guns players have? Does this mean that the clan who owns the server will always have awesome firepower and you wont, and even if you kill them and loot them they can just change your weapons or even kill you remotely?

I'm pretty sure Private hives are not allowed.

Play on a legit server.

Private hives are altered and changed, theres no way to say what it spawns. It could spawn jack shit, it could spawn tanks and jets.

You shouldnt come here to try and get support, private hives are not condoned by the Day Z team, which is obvious.

The hive is editable so I would watch out for hives controlled by big groups they might want to change things.

As in the guys refusing to play by the rules, ripping off Rocket's mod and then adverticing it here.

How do you work that out? I havent given the server name so I cant be advertising, I play on rockets hive daily, but with this annoying backpack glitch where it eats my main gun and replaces it (just lost an l85 + as50 and now have an as50 and an m107...useless) its getting annoying and im waiting for it to be fixed.
