Bag space

I'm having difficulty putting a long range weapon into a bag.

a] I find a shotgun and open gear, select open bag, select shotgun move to bag, it disappears.

b] I have an axe in hand and find a rifle, move axe to toolslot, open bag select rifle, it disappears.

c] I have an axe in hand and find a shotgun, pick up shotgun & drop axe, pick up axe, goes to toolslot, open bag, move shotgun to bag, it disappears.

I have seen vids with people swapping one long range for another by selecting the one in the bag, it automatically gets swapped with the one in the hand. How do they get the first one in the bag?

You need 10 slots free on your backpack to carry a primary gun.

You need 6 slots free on your backpack to carry a secondary gun.

If you try to move a gun to your bag and you don't have enough slots it will be destroyed.

well that's why I cannot place the first gun into the starter bag :blush:
