Unhappy Admin or hacker? AU 18.

To set the scene, I was camping for moderately geared players scavenging elektro at the northern firehouse. Like a pro ^.^

Anyway, I started firing rounds from my revolver to draw attention from other players without alerting zombies while trolling chat.. meta gaming ftw.

Two kills in I see a ghostly shadow pass a door frame on the other side of the building, I know not to investigate but to get to a better spot to over look my last position. I could hear this player's footsteps on the other side of the building.. seconds later I see a proning ghillie suited, M4A1 SD, nightvisioned player slowely make their way across my sights. I wait for a couple of more movements, poke the corner and take him out. He dies, I go to loot the very, very high valued body. Of course I camp the body for a minute or two, just incase of clan/team mates.

Seconds later, my legs break. I die and I question what just happened. No other players around, no audiable shots and I start to ponder.

I abort, disconnect from game, okay back into the server from lobby for respawn. Loads up, insta-death - shows the score board with my player name -3 deaths.

I tried joining the server twice now and all I recieve before finally loading is a kick message.

So as the title states, does this sound like admin abuse to anyone reading this? or was it hacker who somehow had access to player kill / death records.

Admins can't just kill you on a whim.

Is this to say that they still possess the power too?

My name was in chat as I was luring players in direct and group. As stated.

It doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't the admin, but if it was him he was hacking, because admins don't have any tools available to them to insta-kill players. The admin tools for ArmA is actually incredibly limited.

i also just killed a player with my team m8s then 2 mins later we all lost our gear and legs broken so we all just quit

Hey man, this must have been me you killed. I am not a hacker but I do have very high value gear and I died in elektro last night I had an fn fal but if you are sure the guy had an M4A1 SD then I think I know who you killed. You may have been shot by me if I saw you but lag may have given you time to kill me by the time you died. If the guys did have an M4A1 SD a ghillie and nv goggles you probably killed my friend Tom and we are all server admins on au18 and I'm friends with the server owner. I think your problem was just lag because I know my friend doesnt hack and I don't hack either but hey, if you ever see a hacker just let me know and we will get on to banning him.

hey dude, i am the owner of the server and my friends and i were all playing, we were the people you killed, no idea why you died though, we have so far banned 3 hackers from the server, 1 for changing gamemodes and killing everyone, another for spawning weapons and helicopters and the last for teleporting, if you see any hacker activity let me know, but yes, we were the heavily armed people you killed, you get some neat gear from helicopters crash sites.

I also had some experience with hackers on that server, I found a dead guy when I spawned in and took all his stuff, he had EVERYTHING except a backpack lol. I headed to NW airfield and was checking out the market when suddenly a guy walked in telling me to drop my weapons because apparently they were hacked. I didn't know this at the time and I had no other weapon. He threatened to ban me from the server stating that he knew the admin so I shot him in the head and looted him. Turns out he was a hacker and had hacked gear, I had just enough time to take his stuff and hide his body before he appeared with a weapon and side chatting me telling me I was dead. I alt f4'd and changed servers and ditched the hacked gear when I found decent weapons rather than keep killing him until he decides to hack kill me or blow up the whole supermarket.
