MRJOEYBON 18 Posted August 2, 2012 You should have to be prone or mounted when firing certain sniper rifles, or else the recoil causes them to hit you in the nose. At which point you start bleeding and have to bandage yourself. And maybe a mild concussion.
LockeDown 144 Posted August 2, 2012 Haven't seen this suggestion before, so I'll give it the basic merit.No.
GulpinGulpin 40 Posted August 2, 2012 people want this game to be too fucking realistic
KnT47r 51 Posted August 2, 2012 You only get hit in the nose if you hold it wrongThe reason no-one stands up to fire an AS50 or equiv is they're fucking heavy
libertine 351 Posted August 2, 2012 (edited) Just get rid of em all together please. I'd like to see people be able to stand on high buildings, maybe hold buildings as there own with a group, and have individuals be able to explore high and exposed places, than have snipers forming a line to mouse button to death everything that moves in large towns with their goofy laser sticks. Voxgizer 22 Posted August 2, 2012 Shouldn't it hit you in the eye if you're going for this kind of realism?Anyway, no. Most people I've seen using them are prone as it is.
ooTITANoo 4 Posted August 2, 2012 That makes no sense. Snipers are fine. They just need to spawn less often.
Scarlet_Blade 12 Posted August 2, 2012 If i'm not mistaken to get the like "best accuracy" with snipers you have to prone anyways.
Quaby 93 Posted August 2, 2012 WHAT.THE. FUCK. A 12-pound M14 will NOT hit you in the eye after you shoot it. It will give your shoulder a graceful, light kiss. A Barrett weighs fucking 30 pounds, THAT is why you mount it.
stielhandgranate 480 Posted August 2, 2012 Should be a must for the M107. You can't fire that thing standing unsupported efficiently. Not so much for the M14 or CZ or other rifles, although prone is the preferred method.

Torakka 12 Posted August 2, 2012 what would make sense is that they would wobble a lot more when firing while standing.... i mean the heavy ones.
