Spent a nice day at Thunderdome.

Well so here I was in this server, I had my M4A1 CCO SD and all other nice equip. Then suddenly BOOM! "Welcome to Thunderdome, let the game begin!" And several players were there along with me getting blown apart to pieces. Thanks Hackers.

It was a nice experience. So is there anything I could do? Or can I only shove back down my rage and deal with it?

We all cry the first time were "invited" to thunderdome, we complain, then you either learn to live with getting hacked (realizing this is an alpha), or you get tired and drop off for a while.

Alt+F4 more quickly next time. As long as you see that something is happening to your scenery, you should spam Alt+F4 before your surroundings fully load.

I got out in time on the last attempt but lost both primary weapons. Spawning at the NW airfield with out a gun is a strange feeling.

Strange....I believe the word you're looking for is "terrifying." Well, that's the word I would have chosen, anyway. "Oh, my primary weapon disappeared. I'll just switch to my....ohhhh....crap."

You know what you do?

You fucking kill everyone.

Kill every last one of them, then get free pick of weapon/NV/Rangefind ect.

Then ride off in the sunset with your new Heli, that will disappear when the server resets.

That or you can Alt+f4 and log in with no weapons if you did not do it quick enough.

Basically there is nothing we can do until it gets fixed, in the meantime, I plan to win every Thunder dome I "enter" as my gear depends on it!

Just happened to me... Was invited to the thunderdome. I quit before the scenery loaded but for some reason all my server ping are over 400.. Have to wait to find a server to log in to before I can check if I still have my gear.

Last night I was teleported from near Electro to the skies above Cherno The only reason I lived if because I landed on another survivor who was teleported at the same time and so just had a broken leg and bleeding which I could fix.

These hacks are making it impossible to enjoy the beta anymore.

Alpha lol. My understanding is that they can't fix a lot of the hacks because of limitations of the ARMA2 engine. So until ARMA3 or a DayZ standalone comes along I think we're gonna be stuck with it.

View it as a Life / DayZ achievement. It would be called "Invited to Thunderdome," or "Welcome to the Party." Hopefully, you can use this technique to make your experience more palatable. :)

Hackers aren't normally out to grief other people directly, it's the script kiddies who do that.

its why this "game" will never be anything but a half-baked mod, and when a bigtime dev picks this idea up and runs, I'll be laughing at this pathetic attempt at a "true to life..lol" survival game since in real you can just boot ppl from servers or pull them all into your own personal nightmare becuz you are bored with the main game.
