how many shots can a person survive?

Hello people,

im new in the game, and have a simple question, how many shots can a player survive?

because me and my friend both had crossbows, and we saw another player in the supermarket

so we decided to kill him, because everybody always kills us.

we both fired a shot in him, reloaded, fired a second shot

a total of 4 crossbow shots,

than i took my pistol (Glock 17) and fired about 10 extra shots in him,

he was still alive, and killed my friend, than i fired a extra 10 shots on him (after reloading) and he finnaly died

5 sec later 4 other people came in and killed me,

The question, why do we need to fire 4 crosbowshots, and 20 (Glock 17) bullets in someone the kill him, and can other people kill us in 1 shot?

they nerfed everything. theres no more realism bc the newbies kept crying that its too hard. lee enfield is no longer a 1 shot weapon. pistols take extra hits to kill zombies and players. pistol lost all there accuracy. etc. it is very sad :((

If you really hit all those 4 crossbow bolts + 10 G17 shots then he should be long gone. Which means you were probably dealing with a hacker.

As far as I know crossbows should kill with 1 hit (correct me if I'm wrong). I know that they kill zombies with 1 hit 100% and I have also killed a survivor once with only 1 shot instant death.

Edit// Seeing as they "nerfed" the gun damages (not sure if true), it might not have been a hacker.

Did they really lower the damages? Would like a confirmation on that one.

find yourself a lee "louds" field and youll drop players with one nice shot to the chest within 300m. but youll also pull half the towns zeds ;) GL

the crossbow does make 3555 damage, glock only about 890.

I also think this is a little bit low.

One bolt should kill a person, but it's effective range is very low. Maybe you were shooting from too far or you just missed your shots. And glock should kill with 1-3 shots, so I dont see how you can shoot 20 bullets to a person without killing him/her. Tho Im not sure how those weapons have changed lately, so probably they have lower damage nowadays?

A player starts with 12000 blood or hitpoints. The Crossbow does about 3555 damage with each hit; the Glock 17, since the weapon nerf, does 889 damage. It would take about 4 Crossbow shots to kill, or 13 rounds form the Glock (!). Either some of your shots missed, or the player was a hacker.

Oh, and head shots with any weapon are instant death.

Not anymore. The Lee Enfield used to kill in one shot, but, since the Arma patch nerfed it, it now it takes two shots.

If you didn't miss with any of those 4 bolts and 10 rounds, then it was probably a hacker. Anyway, don't use the Crossbow for shooting players. Use a high damage weapon. Most of the assault rifles will kill a player in 3 or 4 shots and most of the sniper rifles will do it in 1 or 2.

That many hits should kill any player. Whenever I hear about something like this my first suspect is lag or hit detection problems. It probably took that many shots because some of them were missing. In the future I'd recommend that one of you roll with a crossbow and the other use an AK or something similar. Anymore, when I run into a player at that range, I just unload a clip at their upper torso. You're likely to get a headshot or take them out in a hail of bullets :-P

+ the back of a supermarket can be buggy/glitchy as well, i guess, its because of the recks, even with a free line of sight and within 5m you can suddenly hit the wall or a invisible part of a reck...

Put it this way, Your Player has Kevlar Vest on, SHOOT THEM IN THE HEAD, The enfield is still a one shot kill you may have to put a second bullet in them to finish them off but still one shot knocks them on their ass cold. Like I said with pistols shoot for the Head , or shoot out there legs . broken bones are a bitch when you are in a fire fight. Cross bows are weak against players :S but should be very deadly. Even Ak's a weak when it comes to body shots . Mp5 is a bb gun if you don't aim for the head.

I just shot someone in the head from 200m with a CZ550 and didnt kill him with one shot. what terrible hit boxes. i dont care if the weapon does 8000 normal damage. a headshot is a headshot and should not be survivable in ANY case from ANY gun.

It takes one. Aim for the head or heart. Upper body/neck if you can't aim, and they'll drop quick. Crossbow is extremely weak, and supposedly does around 3000 Blood, making it fairly ineffective against players.
