Need tips on the Czech Vest Pouch

I did this once, and it worked, but I don't remember exactly how I did it. I know I lost some stuff in the process.

Last night, I found another Czech Vest Pouch as I was rebuilding my player after a respawn. In case you don't know, it's a 6-slot "backpack".

The good thing about it is that you can use it in conjunction with another pack, so say you have an "ALICE" with 20 slots, now you have 26 slots in total. I believe it just made the ALICE 26 slots, as opposed to showing up as 2 separate packs in inventory. Very convenient.

So, to the more experienced players, can you tell me what the best way would have been to acquire this pack?

I know the best way to pick up another backpack is to inspect the target backpack and move all your goodies into it, and then pick it up once you are prepared to say goodbye to your old pack.

In this case, I still had the spawn "coyote" pack, so does that mean I had to nix two items, and put them all in the Vest?

In the end, that's what I did, but once I got the Vest, I lost the Coyote. It just vanished.

I didn't stumble upon any free ALICE packs, so I am not sure what to do next when I do find one. I just don't want the Vest to disappear.

Like I said, I got this to work before I just don't remember how.

It doesn't add on.. It completely replaces it, and makes your pack only 6 slots. I dont where in the *derp* you got this idea.

I guess what happened was that I must have found the biggest pack after that (the other Coyote I think it's called?) and thought it was a feature working as the name implied.

The biggest backpack is 24 slots... maybe you were just high as a kite.

It would have been cool if they had made it like a bullet proof vest which could withstand small arms fire (such as pistols)

It would have been cool if they had made it like a bullet proof vest which could withstand small arms fire (such as pistols)

I think the idea is to have some kind of an assault pack, if you are a group with a camp, and want to attack someone else, but dont wanna risk loosing a bigger pack, you can use the vest pouch.

Thats my guess.

I think the idea is to have some kind of an assault pack, if you are a group with a camp, and want to attack someone else, but dont wanna risk loosing a bigger pack, you can use the vest pouch.

Not true - I have the standard Czech pack (the large one) with my G-suit at the moment and you cant see it at all. In fact im pretty sure you cant see any packs (regardless of size) when wearing a G-Suit.

It would make sense, and my earlier post was a guess, but if i may guess again, its because you always trade your regular coyote for somthing bigger and better, thereby loosing the regular coyote, and since the regular coyote dont often spawn in game, they put in some kind of pack for assaults.

When I wear gillie suits my backpack physically disappears but i still have it in my inventory. So I have never seen a guy in a gillie with a back pack on.

You are right. You cant see what pack you are wearing under your ghillie.

I like to play with it but I have not been able to "add" it to my regular pack. I was pretty certain that the only option is to completely replace the backpack.

It has severe disadvantages obviously but not having a bulky pack on your shoulders has some pro's as well. Your silhouette is smaller and while crawling you look almost like a crawler-zombie to someone who is not paying attention. Basically it let's you blend in better with the environment and with zombies. It works I tried it back when you could imitate a zombie crouch-walk but I think they fixed the glitch where you were able to crouch-walk in a really creepy zed-like way. ;(

It would make sense to wear a vest pouch with pockets in the front in conjunction to a backpack. It would be great actually if this would be functionality of the game. Otherwise the czech vest pouch in this game is rather obsolete.
