Snipers????

So, I get killed all the time by snipers, now I decided to look out for a sniper myself, after checking over 60 barns atleast, and I dont know how many deerstands, firestations, hangars whatever and I think around 7+ days with around 5-6+ hours a day looking for it, I dont find ANY sniper rifle?

I found one sniper rifle of a dead body when I started with this game in elektro, I basically didnt knew the power of the sniper rifles yet so I just kept using my AK and held it in my backpack.

I killed an sniper last week and when I wanted to loot him (I killed him and his buddy on a field) suddenly evryone got teleported outside the map and turned into goats, then cows and then ghille as-50 snipers where evryone just started shooting eachother, this is getting too annoying for me, I play for so many hours and I just cant find any.. any tips/help or whatever??

Luck is a huge factor. I don't think you can do much else aside from what you're already doing - though searching for camps may be a good idea. They typically have a sniper in stock!

Or, you can play smart and kill yourself a sniper on some hill near Cherno-Elektro. That is much easier and more fun ;)

If you're on a server with 50 people, you're not too likely to get the loot. Drop down to a low-population server to equip. Then when you run into a building you have a better chance to find gear that wasn't already taken by other players.

Or you could just be extremely unlucky; I can attest, however, that I did not find a natural sniper rifle until 3-4 weeks into the game. I found a CZ 2 weeks in but didn't keep it.

Recently I found a couple DMR, and an M14, so it's kinda luck.

Barns are a good start, you have a small % chance of finding a CZ550 but, from my expirence, ammo is limited. Otherwise, here is where you will find "good ones". Military tents/structures i.e. 2 small ones @ Cherno, or the large grouping in Stary Sobor. Airfield hangers or at the NW airfield's barracks. Deerstands! can't stress those enough. Crashed heli-sites, if you're lucky enough to find one.

Otherwise, rock the Enfield...great range and power.

and BTW...wouldn't play on that server you got hacked on anymore.

Sounds to me like he's alone. A little risky running into a camp with noone looking out for you but, if you got nothing to loose....

This is how the so called pros are doing it:

- Choose a low populated server;

- Go to high level military spawns locations;

- Just server hop from the fucking list of servers, and eventually get lucky;

- Then just find a tent and Dup the fuck out of that items, so that when you die, you can always go back and get the gear.

This is what i call realism !!!

All military loot locations are hot-spots. It will ALWAYS be a risk.

But the Eastern Airfield may be a better option if you're feeling rather defenceless. I'm fairly sure less people go there; though there may still be some lurkers. In the end, the best way to tackle the high-value locations is with more people.

Depending on how many people are in your server now. Check out Stary Sobor, not only does it have a shit load of military tents, right by the huge factory, but there's a ton of deerstands in a close vicinity to the city, and lots of fields for heli's to crash in. have found all 5 of my heli crash sites within 2000m of Stary Sobor

Might try the DayZDB website. Lots of info and map with spawn locations. Not guaranteed, just known spawns per the DB: http://dayzdb.com/
