question about clans and recruit servers

i just started hosting a recruit server today after finding this game last week... i log in and start roaming around next thing i know there is a clan on my server (4 people) and i am getting killed left and right along with alot of other ppl on the server. so my questions would be: 1 since its a recruit server are clans even allowed? 2nd i have been looking over the kicking rules and i didnt see anything about killing somone shortly after spawning (or spawn killing) reason i ask is cause one of my spawns lasted all of 1 min and i was headed straight inland away from the town i spawned next to... any anwsers or links to other posts would be appreciated.

You cant kick people from your server for spawn killing, read the DayZ rules, if you use the mod you must abide by them or risk your server being blacklisted.

Unless they are hacking, beng abusive or racist then your pretty screwed, cause if you kick them and they QQ then you will get the grief :(

yes recruit i have only played it 3 times so far and i really havent even figure out all of the controls yet ive g2 start some where.... what about the clans on recruit servers i guess there isnt anything i can do about that either?

There are no "recruit" servers, there are only DayZ servers.

If you want to get the hang of it, try playing on low population servers or non-veteran servers.

If you haven't played Arma II before then I would suggest doing some of the tutorial missions in the vanilla version so you know how to operate the goodies.

Nope, some peole like the carebear easy mode of recruit due to the Crosshair, Name plates and the Map showing your location and that of everyone around you.

You do realise that Recruit does not change the difficulty at all?

Name plates work both ways, you might be able to see the other person easier but he can see you just as easy now.

Crosshair is also pretty useless, use the iron sights or just shoot the center or your screen, anyone who has played games before should be able to pick put the center screen in a crunch :) Failing that a small mark works too!

And finally having the map show your exact location is quite usefull but you have not even begun to experience this game until you spend 2 hours lost in the woods.....
