Server Notation for Character Names and Map Use

I can tell which servers have 3rd person, is there also one of those acronyms that corresponds to whether or not highlighting a character gives you the green name popping up? Also, is there a notation for if the map shows where you are or not or do you have to just join a server to figure that out?

if server level is regular than you will see the names etc. if you play on veteran servers you will not

Recruit = "heat" dots on zombies, vehicles and even nearby players. Also all shown in regular below.

Regular and below = Location shown on maps, along with unidentified players and seen vehicles nearby. Crosshairs and name tags will be on, along with 3rd Person.

Veteran = none of above, unless specified by the server.

Expert = no 3rd person, no crosshair, no map location, no name tags. Pretty much hardcore mode.

Certain servers will say what they have enabled. Otherwise just look at the difficulty. If you want name tags and crosshairs, play on regular.If you want annoying white dots, play recruit.

Just some acronyms for you to help:

3DP = 3rd Person

CH = Crosshair

NT = Nametags (you barely see this anymore)

Look for those being "on" in server names if you want them in veteran or expert servers.

DayZ Commander has filters which allows you to choose what settings you want enabled/disabled, I suggest that you try that.
