Just remove the barbed wire and military wrecks / bodies

The title says it all really, these things just need to be straight out removed from the game, and I'm sure most of you already know why. I also know that this has already been posted about, but im making a new thread just to put the point out there as much as I can.

I care less about broken bone glitches, i care less about banditry, silenced weapons, snipers, and hackers.

Just for the love of god, remove barbed wire, military bodies and wrecks as a first priority. it cant take that long to get rid of it. All barbed wire is used for is trolling people by blocking off doorways while you are leaving (in other words, no benifit to the user, just a pain in the ass for other innocent people). Not only is that a pain in the ass, but then there is the glitch that blinds you when you look in its general direction anything between half a mile away. I'm finding that I literally cannot play the game as it is intended and the glitch has gotten worse and worse (YES, WORSE) with every single update for the last 2 weeks.

Military bodies and wrecks are just there for scenery and they don't even work for that because you can't see the damn things through all the artifacting. stop trying to rebinerise (this clearly isn't working after the 5th or so time) and just remove them.

For example, i can see it from one end of Cherno to the other, and can only explore one side of it because the other half is totally blinding. Same goes for the Northern Airfield. It isn't doing anything to help the game at the moment, it's just a pain in the ass, you've done your experimentation with it rocket, now it's time to put the barbed wire away. I don't have any objection to user built structures to build fortifications and such like sandbags, but like i have said, barbed wire is just used to troll people, this is not a good enough reason to keep such a glitchy object in the game.. just replace all the barbed wire spawns with tank traps or sand bags or something.

I think the "blinding" you are talking about is the dead soldier prop emitting artifacts. I never got the blinding effect with barbed wire at all.

Though what I WISHED would happen is that barbed wire applied to ZOMBIES. I mean its just useless or a waste of space if it cant block off zombies.

I think both the user and the person entering the area are not benefited because of the wire unless someone actually took the time and effort to make a maze barricade. Otherwise, if you wire off all the entrances, you are trapped inside the building and nobody can get in. Unless you use a toolbox or a crowbar or something.

I dont know if i can confirm that its from barbed wire, because i just were in the green mountain, i saw there no barbed wire, but dead soldiers and there were these bugs. There were some chain link fence with some kind of barbed wire on top of the fence around the mountain. Unless someone can confirm that there is barbed wire in green mountain.

The artifacts that ar appearing for me, are from Soldier Bodies that belongs to the world props.

Not barbedwires o.O, but anyway, barbed wires really is a pain in the ass since there are a lot of trolls in this planet that put barbed wire everywhere

Rocket has announced that his update today will fix graphical artefacts being created (the blinding glitch) from dead bodies and wire fences. We will still have trolls but still great news. better get our tool kits ready!

Can you remove it with a toolbox as i have seen the option flicker on my screen once or twice and not be able to get it again when i'm near barbed wire. Like the tank traps and sandbags can be removed with a toolbox so why can't barbed wire?

Also completly ridiculous that Zeds walk through it! I set some up in one entrance of a barn while swarmed by 20 and defended the other entrance then whack! from behind and i'm down...WTF? At least take damage if they do! Or make so we can prone under it but risk bleeding damage or something.

But otherwise +1 to get rid of it, serves no purpose apart from trolling.

Agree.

The only use of barbed wire that I've seen is people blocking off hangers so that you can't get inside without server hopping. Complete BS.

Not 100% sure that it's the barbed wire that's causing the artifacting but it's nothing but a royal pain in the arse anyway...

Yeah i'm sure that toolboxes work for them, you just have to find a sweet spot while scrolling. Maybe we could have barbed wire removed untill the standalone when it will effect zombies properly? since that is its actual reason for existance and probably not actually intended to just block every entrance you can find from the outside

Barbwire graphic gonna be fixed this week, outside of that I have no problem with it, ive vaulted over it plenty of times, and have no issues taking it down with my toolbox, aim at the non end post. Once the graphic is fixed ill be happy with it again.

Right now the Barbed wire is utterly useless.

It may be useful when and if the players will be able to build their own little base to fortify it (if only the Zeds didn't just walk through it!).

Agreed, useless addition to the game, get rid of it, or make it so that when you take it down, IT STAYS GONE! Spend tons of time taking it down just to have it respawn when the server restarts..

It turns out that the artifacting glitch is caused by barbed wire, military bodies and military wrecks (broken Jeeps). So just to add to my opening post. Remove the military bodies and wrecks along with the barbed wire. taking things OUT of the game should be easy. it would save a lot of time with all this "rebinerising" that i see in the change log every update that to be perfectly honest, clearly isn't working. the bodies and wrecks are nothing but scenery that, to be blunt, we can't actually see anyway for obvious reasons. they serve even less purpose than the barbed wire and glitch twice as much. scrap them.

Just had a run to Berezino completely halted by this glitch .... tried various fixes but nothing worked - not surprising as the 'fix' the devs also tried didn't work (playing post 1.7.2.5).

Just get them out of there - they don't even make sense from a game-world point of view ... all the corpses would have rotted away by now - and don't zombies eat their victims?
