Is it too unbalanced, am I overkilling here while under-doing it there, any suggestions for near-future upgrades?

jordan2412 60 Posted July 31, 2012 I've never had an issue running on 8GB, so I think its fine. I would say the SSD is a bit small for the rest of what you have. You can always use a secondary, but it seems like you went all out. I would have gotten a bigger one, my 128GB gets full wayy to fast.
Sgt.Asshat 607 Posted July 31, 2012 When are you going to use over 8gb of memory at one? Arma tops 1.3gb at max and bf3 never goes over 1.5gb... 8gb ram is plently

The people who want 16GB are the same who would want two GTX 680's, even though 1 can walk all over every game available. And the rest of my steam library dumped on "main" SSD.
Fleshworm 0 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) If you overclock the H60 might be a little lacking...Ive got my 2500k clocked at 4.5ghz with an h80 and with intel burn test and prime95 maxed out it sits at 55c which is great in my opinion. It might work out for you though, I just know that ivy bridge runs quite a bit hotter, correct me if Im wrong.Edit: Definitely don't need more than 8gb of ram imo. thetamsen 57 Posted July 31, 2012 I run mine with 4 GB :)Same here, I do definitely feel the lack of power once you've got all Arma, Skype, Infinitely tab-filled mozilla firefox (I prefer it over chrome at my own PC, though I like chrome better for working), fraps etc.About time I abandoned that laptop ;)
