A real roll of the dice. its best to enter the NWA with a group of 4 or larger. not needed ofcourse but it sure helps with odds. LuCiDiTy (DayZ) 14 Posted July 31, 2012 Unlucky friend :) but yea the airfield is a dangerous place if you don't know what your doing :P try and keep an eye out for zombie spawns it's a good indicator of how many people are there if there is anyone. Get There, (Study the layout of the area)2. Prone and stay there a while,3. Listen.4 Move around and repeat step 2.5. When you're sure no-one is around (Zombie spawning counts) Get into the Barracks and loot till you get some good gear (remember your backpack may have a lot of spare slots for more gear - Morphine is more important than guns and tins of food)6. Tactical retreat to some other minimum threat location.7. lonewolf12 25 Posted July 31, 2012 All you will find there is, broken dreams and QQ.i went from the south airfield, to cherno, got some good supplies in cherno, killed a bandit and got a ak74su thing off a dead bandit i think he killedcouldnt find the one thing i needed in cherno which was matches and i need blood fast, so i went off on a hunt for just animals in hope of finding a fire, so im in the forest above cherno and i bump into a survivor....needles to say he ate my ak74, and luckily....he had raw meat and matches!! a couple of hunts later and im back in full health, with water bottles and plenty of ak74 ammo, back at the southern airfield now...contemplating the hike north............... RIGHTLY 87 Posted July 31, 2012 Your best bet when looting the NW Airfield on your own is to go to both the barracks. DON'T go directly into the Airfield. Just go to the top/bottom barracks (depending on what direction your approaching it). Once you looted one, go around the Airfield to the other barracks and loot that. Be fast when doing this.
