Fixing deathmatching 2.0

Recommended Posts

Easy fix, a ton of sandboxes I've played had this in them.

What is this mysterious feature ?

A way to revive fallen allies.

The game already has blood bags in but really, I find myself not using them, at ALL. I would rather safely hunt animals and eat until maxed out than go in a hospital and risk getting shot for a blood bag that I then need to find someone to apply the damn thing to me.

A way of reviving would improve group play by a LOT, who likes to die ? Not a whole lot of people, so guess what they do, they kill everyone on sight, but if you rolled with someone and you run into another group of players that are hostile and then one of them kills you but your friend manages to kill them he could then come and revive you.

Now you could add random death penalty that would apply each time you are revived and would stack like, slower running speed, less inventory space(carrying weight if weight is ever implemented in which I hope it is), decrease in accuracy, lower max health.

You could also make it possible to cure some of them by doing tasks (Much like Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the people that have played it) where a deep wound would lower your maximum health but then could be cured by using a bandage, suture kit and disinfecting the wound.

I honestly think that yes the game should be hard (I also think the zombies should be way more of a threat) but the last thing anyone want is dying.

Please go ahead and comment on how you would balance this.

Nope. It alienates those who wish to play solo. It makes groups virtually worry free thus taking away yet another element to the game.
